It is total bullshit that writers in the media and fans alike are making the claim that Michigan is "making the Big Ten look bad". I love the Wolverines, but I am really sick and tired of the media putting the entire perception of the conference on the shoulders of the Maize and Blue. The fact is that Notre Dame, Utah, Minnesota, and Rutgers were all underrated teams to start the season and time will only tell who the real players are on the national scene.
All I see is parity in the world of college football. For example, did anybody envision Indiana beating an SEC team that was in their respective conference championship game last December? Did anybody predict that Ole Miss, Mississippi State,Notre Dame, Georgia Tech, and Arizona would all be riding a perfect record heading into the midway point of the season? The answer is "NO!".
The truth is that there are a lot of good teams out there and the rankings, once again, don't tell the entire tale of the tape. The SEC East appears to be just as big of a dumpster fire as either of the Big Ten divisions right now. Hell, who knows what the hell is going to happen next week in Gainesville because Florida's program looks like a bigger mess than their little 3-1 record suggests. The ACC has, at the most, two good teams and the Pac-12 has several, none of which is either USC or Stanford.
So, for the love of god can we just let the season play out a little bit more before we start calling for heads and anointing champions? At the very least, let's not place the entire hope of a Power 5 conference on one freaking program!
