Recruiting Class Wish List

Enrolled:

1. WR/ATH Brian Cole
2. QB Alex Malzone

Committed:

1. S Tyree Kinnel
2. OL Grant Newsome
3. OL Jon Runyan Jr.
4. K Andrew David

The Top Prospects to Watch:

1. CB Iman Marshall - Yes, it might be considered a longshot but this kid knows the opportunity is there in Ann Arbor to be a part of something big. Jabrill Peppers' move over to safety opens up a spot at the nickel for somebody of Marshall's ability to come in and play right away. Michigan being the top public school in the U.S. helps tip the scales.
2. TE Chris Clark - Unless UCLA blows the doors off this kid's mind I believe this is a done deal. Though let it be known that I have been wrong countless other times before. In any case, Clark appears to be good enough to get some playing time early behind Jake Butt and by all accounts has the necessary intangibles to facilitate him developing into an All-American.
3. LB Roquan Smith - It's really going to be tough to get this kid out of Georgia, but adding him to the mix is a top priority of the staff. There's probably only room for one LB this year so it would be great if we could knock it out of the park with somebody as talented as Smith.
4. WR Cordell Broadus - Another longshot, yes, but he seems to really like Michigan and I feel the staff is looking for another potential play-maker to throw in the hopper. WR Ryan Davis, RB Mike Weber, and ATH Chris Williamson are potential candidates to fill this spot as well.
5. TE/DE Tyrone Wheatley Jr. - Has offers from and visits set for Alabama and Oregon coming up as well, so he is a longer shot than most people think. In the end, the opportunity to play for Harbaugh at Michigan with his dad on the staff is just too perfect to pass up.
6. QB Zach Gentry - Getting another passing prospect in Harbaugh's first recruiting class is a pivotal move that well help raise the competition at the most important position on the team, which also happened to be the biggest disaster in 2014. Jimmy won't make the same mistakes as Brady.
7. DE Rueben Jones - Got offered by the Wolverines a couple weeks ago and just decommitted from Nebraska right before his visit to Ann Arbor. The word is that what this kid lacks in size he makes up for in hustle and determination.
8. CB Damon Arnette - Yes, another longshot, as most of these technically are, but he seemed to really enjoy his visit. The staff really is going after corners and athletes this year. Marcus Lewis, Chris Williamson, and Will Lockett are other candidates here as well.
9. DE Jake Pickard - This Wisconsin commit looks pretty high on Michigan. The team needs another end prospect to throw in the mix and Pickard fits the bill.
10. CB Jarius Adams - A Rutgers commit that is visiting campus before National Signing Day. Many "experts" think he will flip to the Wolverines. If he doesn't then the staff might offer a kid like Markel Bush or Trevon Avery to fill the spot.
11. FB/LB Reagan Williams - Committed to Stanford but keeping his options open with Michigan involved. Harbaugh loves to use lead blockers and especially loves guys like this that have enough athletic ability to make catches and run with the ball. The fact that he could play on defense if needed is a huge plus as well.
12. OL Nolan Ulizio - Not a very highly rated prospect, but let's be hones here: Rankings are overrated! This kid has all the tools to develop into a classic throw-back Michigan lineman that can maul opponents in the run game and assist in keeping his QB upright. Getting another lineman now makes total sense as getting as many blockers up front tuned in to the offense as possible will be a staff priority every year that Harbaugh is on campus.
