2016 Recruiting Wish List and Sleepers

Top Prospects on the Wolverine Hot List

Five-Star DT Jordan Elliot
Jordan Elliot DT (Houston, TX) - Although he is currently committed to Houston, Elliot appears to still have some interest in Michigan. He said he plans to visit in the fall on an official so anything could happen. The kid is a beast and is every bit as good of a prospect as Rashan Gary, if not better. If Harbaugh can get him to flip it would be a huge win in a raging recruiting battle that also includes Texas and USC as major players for his services. The Wolverines are not desperate for tackles right now, but it would be nice to score on a big one when given the chance. Besides, Elliot could play end on the strong-side if needed too.
Rashan Gary DT (Paramus, NJ) - My second favorite tackle prospect but still one of the best overall, Gary would be a much welcomed addition to any draft class. A good defense always starts up front and you just could never have enough kids like this on the roster. Gary is still high on Michigan and the program seems to have a good rep in the area.
Binjimen Victor WR (Pompano Beach, FL) - This would be a steal of epic proportions right out of Gator country. He is projected to join Florida's program but still seems to harbor some sort of interest in Michigan. It's a long shot, but it is one worth watching as the recruiting season continues to heat up.
Four-Star OG Terence Davis
Terence Davis OG (Hyattsville, MD) - One of the top OL prospects in the country, Davis would team up with Onwenu to give the Wolverines a couple of fantastic interior line prospects. Davis would also be a nice steal out from under the UM Terrapins, who beat Michigan at the Big House in their first season in the Big Ten.
Ben Bredeson OL (Hartland, WI) - Deeply rooted in Badger country, Bredeson would be one of the crown jewels of this class if he were to pledge to the Wolverines.
Marlon Davidson (Greenville, AL) - Davidson is a five-star prospect that was at the Prattville satellite camp, and he apparently walked away happy with what he saw from the Michigan coaches. He keeps Michigan near the top of his list with Auburn as the team to beat for his services. There's little doubt that Harbaugh, Mattison, Durkin, and Wheatley will all be in this kid's ear for the next several months.
Caleb Kelly LB (Fresno, CA) - One of the best athletes in the country and possibly the best linebacker prospect, Kelly keeps Michigan high as well. He will surely be in town sometime soon but don't expect any kind of commitment from him until signing day. Kelly might be good enough to start from day one.
Dontavious Jackson LB (Houston, TX) - Jackson is a very good prospect that would be a major grab out of another talent-rich state. He would instantly add depth to a 'backer corps that will lose at least four players to graduation this coming year.
Kahlid Kareem DE (Farmington, MI) - A key in-state target that would help fill a big need at defensive end. Kareem has all the size (6'5" 260 lbs) and skill to compete for a starting role some day. The coaching staff have been all over him and it looks like it will be down to Sparty and the Wolverines for his services.
Jeffrey McCulloch LB (Houston, TX) - If Michigan somehow lands a couple top linebacker recruits out of Houston I will cut all my hair off. It would be another big sign of a possible pipeline opening up in another primo recruiting spot. McCulloch is very high on Michigan and would most-likely crack the two-deep in his first year on campus.
Four-Star DB Lamar Jackson
Lamar Jackson DB (Elk Grove, CA) - At 6'3" 205 lbs, Jackson has the size to play safety, but he has the skills to play corner. His talent and versatility make him a favorite of mine. There is no doubt that he would be a much-welcomed addition to the secondary.
Ahmir Mitchell ATH (Egg Harbor City, NJ) - One of the top overall athletes in this class, Mitchell is trending towards the Wolverines. They view him as a receiver but he could play defensive back or running back too.
Jonathan Jones LB (Olando, FL) - Jones is a very good four-star prospect that could play a number of places in Durkin's defense. He has remained a favorite to pledge to the Wolverines ever since Harbaugh took over.

Sleeper Prospects

Josh Metellus S (Hollywood, FL) - An underrated prospect at this point, Metellus gets overshadowed by kids that are better athletes even though he might actually be a better football player. Just watch his tape and you will see a guy that hustles and hits hard. Most recruiting pages have him listed as a two-star, but that could change in the coming months. He is currently committed to Georgia Southern but just received a Michigan offer last week and all signs are now trending blue.
Donald Stewart WR (Paramus, NJ) - A composite three-star prospect, Stewart hails from the same high school as DB Jabrill Peppers and OL Juwan Bushell-Beaty. He has all the size (6'4" 180 lbs) and skills needed to compete on the outside someday.
Corey Banks CB/WR (Tyrone, GA) - I love these types of underrated three-star prospects out of SEC country. Banks seems to fit the bill of exactly the type of kids Harbaugh and crew are going after right now. Underrated, underappreciated kids that are, above all, coach-able and just know how to hustle and play ball.
Michael Irvin Jr. TE/WR (Ft. Lauderdale, FL) - Isn't the best TE prospect in the country, but Irvin (6'3" 234 lbs) has the ability to be a very good college player. Again, I can't stress enough how important it is to nab kids like this out of SEC country. It will always pay off one way or another, provided you keep graduating kids AND win games on Saturdays.
Sean McKeon TE (Dudley, MA) - Is a predominantly unknown prospect by the masses, McKeon has impressed the Michigan coaches enough to get an offer. He does have nice size at 6'5", 230 lbs and he totally fits the mold of a Michigan Student-Athlete. His other offers include Harvard, Yale, Air Force, Boston College, Connecticut, and Syracuse.
Alex Akingbulu OT (Harbor City, CA) - Has been high on Michigan's list and keeps Michigan high on his own, Akingbulu is another three-star prospect that could rise up in the rankings soon. He needs to add a little more mass to his 6'6" frame and get a little stronger, but the natural ability seems to be there.
Terrell Lucas DE (Hollywood, FL) - Another prospect that is not even ranked by some scouting pages, Lucas has caught the Michigan coaching staff's eye. I trust Harbaugh and Durkin to be targeting the right types of guys for their defense, just as they have always done before.
Josh Sills OG (Byesville, OH) - Michigan is Sills' only big-time offer but Ohio State and West Virginia have shown interest. At 6'5" 320 lbs he has the frame to work with. Most scouts have him rated as a three-star guard prospect, but he might be able to play right tackle or even center.
